In Joy and in Sorrow, Glory be to God

The author of the book, Zenovius Chesnokov, was inspired by the love and interest for Starets Zenovius from his father, who lived near him. With particular diligence and systematic research, he collected and is handing us over testimonies from those who knew the elder Zenobio. Since 2010, this holy elder has been among the three elders of the Glinsk desert, who were declared saints by the Ukrainian Church. Starets Zenovius (Metropolitan Seraphim) lived a long-suffering life in an extremely difficult period for the Russian Church, a period of persecutions and attacks against it, during which they blew up churches, exiled and killed priests.
